CSHA welcomes first two Corporate members

CSHA has officially launched its Corporate membership program and we would like to welcome our first two Corporate members. The levels of membership are Corporate member, Corporate Premier, Corporate Elite and Corporate Platinum.

The CSHA board approved the Corporate member category in March, adding the following language to CSHA Board Governing Policy 6.1: “Corporate members shall be companies, consultancies, nonprofits, and government agencies and institutions that operate both within and outside of the speech language hearing field, and who share a commitment to supporting both the profession and the industry via a recognized membership and engagement in CSHA. Neither Corporate member entities nor their designated individual contacts within those entities have voting rights.”

CSHA’s new Corporate membership program provides an opportunity for companies and other organizations to build collaborations with CSHA that are more focused on the relationship and less on a transaction. While fully acknowledging the marketing and fiscal benefits of Corporate membership to both the organization and CSHA, a greater emphasis is on the nature of the nonprofit as contributing to and supporting the industry in which the company or organization operates, thereby building recognition that supporting CSHA is an end in itself – and beneficial to the corporate member, the profession and the human beings served by the profession.

Capitol Speech & Rehabilitation Services, Inc. recently joined as a Corporate Premier member. It is a private practice located in Sacramento providing speech and language therapy in both the clinic and in-home settings. Capitol Speech & Rehab offers a variety of services to both children and adults.

“Our mission is to provide quality speech and language services encompassing a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan to facilitate our clients’ speech and language skills. We highly encourage our families to participate in treatment planning and therapy. Capitol Speech & Rehab provides speech and language services to local schools as a non-public agency. We coordinate with public schools to establish appropriate services and provide services indicated in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).”
