Letizia S. Hendrickson, MS, CCC-SLP, ADHD-RSP, is a multi-lingual speech-language pathologist. She received her bachelor’s degree from CSULB in sociology and her master’s degree in communication disorders and sciences from CSUN. She has been working with individuals across the lifespan for over sixteen years in schools, medical, and private practice settings. In her current role she works with pediatric and adult populations with a variety of communication, cognitive, swallowing, and voice disorders. She also supervises graduate clinicians, SLPA students, SLPAs and clinical fellows and is a part of the adjunct faculty at WCU’s master’s CDS program. As an educator she strives to help our next generation of speech-language pathologists enter the field with knowledge and confidence. As a clinician she is passionate about early intervention, working with individuals with ADHD, advocacy, neurodivergent-inclusive approaches and neuro affirming practice. She currently serves as the President-Elect for CSHA. She also serves on CHADD’s National Education Committee and serves on the MSLP PAC Advisory Board to address current trends and issues in the areas of CDS curriculum, placement and practice. Letizia is a certified ADHD rehabilitation service provider and holds certifications in LSVT-LOUD, PROMPT Bridging and is a Hanen More Than Words Certified Trainer. She has been recognized by ASHA for her commitment to lifelong learning as a recipient of three ASHA ACE awards and was recognized by CSUN for excellence in clinical supervision as the recipient of the Edward P. Hall Award for Clinical Mentorship.

Kelly Arellano, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a bilingual speech-language pathologist in Los Angeles who specializes in providing services to individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She has presented seminars at national and state conferences on providing evidence-based speech and language assessments and treatment for multilingual individuals. She creates and disseminates bilingual language acquisition resources on her website (www.holaclinic.com) and on social media platforms, (@theholaclinic). Kelly runs her own private practice, Hola Clinic Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Inc., and has also worked at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center and Los Angeles Unified School District as a bilingual speech language pathologist. Before serving as VP of Membership and Outreach, she was District 7 Director for two terms and Chair of the Early Intervention Committee.

Sarah Bishop, M.A., CCC-SLP is a school-based speech-language pathologist based in North County, San Diego. Sarah has over a decade of experience working across all grade levels in public schools. She is a member of her school union’s collective bargaining team and also serves as a school site union representative. In addition to her school-based work, Sarah runs a small solo-therapist private practice providing in-home speech therapy.

Sarah is part Japanese and grew up speaking both Japanese and English until age 5. She attended a Japanese preschool in Japan before moving to the United States to start kindergarten. She is a native English speaker, with basic proficiency in Japanese and Spanish.

Sarah obtained a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of California, Irvine, and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from San Diego State University. She currently works with the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District.

Karin “Careen” Hartunian Koukeyan, MS, CCC-SLP, is the founder of SpeechFit, A Speech-Language Pathology Corporation, a solo practice providing clinical, corporate, and consulting services. With over 20 years of experience across private practice, outpatient, telehealth, school, and home health settings, Karin brings deep expertise in communication and leadership. As a Corporate Speech Pathologist, she coaches professionals to enhance their communication effectiveness, executive presence, and confidence in the workplace. A pioneer in telepractice since 2010, she has delivered services in both educational and healthcare environments and continues to advance best practices in the field. Karin regularly presents at state and national conferences and develops content for articles, podcasts, and webinars on a broad range of topics in communication, telepractice, and professional growth. A strong advocate for expanding access to care through telehealth, she currently serves as the 2026 Co-Chair of the ASHA Telepractice Topic Committee and as Associate Coordinator for ASHA Special Interest Group 18 (Telepractice).

Dr. Jennifer Kizner has been an SLP for 28 years, at Stanford for 26 years, achieved her clinical doctorate in Speech Pathology in 2021, has Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders since 2010, Is an MBS-ImP certified clinician. Has worked on American Board of Swallowing Disorders committees: Exam and PR and mentorship. Worked in acute care for 18.5 years. Was an inpatient rehab supervisor for 10 years. Currently the clinical specialist in the Stanford OP head and neck multidisciplinary oncology clinic. Jennifer has presented on swallowing disorders and SLPs role in the evaluation and treatment of head and neck cancer at both state and national level. She has served on the CSHA advocacy committee since 2019 and worked on the FEES taskforce to assist with changing the language of the current FEES bill at the California state licensing board so that clinicians can have more access to performing FEES in the settings that services are required. She was a Teaching Assistant for Rocky Mountain University’ clinical doctorate program for Ethics and Supervision courses.

Adrienne Wroebel, M.S., CCC-SLP is a school-based Speech Language Pathologist with the Stanislaus County Office of Education, serving students with various speech and language needs within Special Day Classrooms and Head Start settings. Receiving her Masters in Speech Language Pathology from University of the Pacific, and Bachelors in Speech Language Pathology from CSU, Fresno, she has been a practicing Speech Language Pathologist for over 20 years, with experience in both private practice and school settings. Adrienne values the importance of supporting her students and families with their communication needs, as well as supporting incoming SLPs through clinical supervision and mentorship. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family in their many different adventures together.

My name is Amanda Perrotti and I have been working as an SLP for nearly 10 years. I have worked across settings from adult rehabilitation to the schools. My first love is working with clients with brain injury to reintegrate them into their home and communities. I am also passionate about working in education with our diverse community of soon to be SLPs and SLPAs, and working with students with complex communication needs. I am passionate about CSHA especially fostering new leaders, collaborating with other professionals, and working on advocating for our clients and profession.

Tamisha Tague B.S. SLPA is a bilingual speech therapist and advocate who believes communication is a civil right. Her work in education for over 30 years focuses on professional identity, equity, and culturally responsive care. She has worked in both the clinic and school settings for 15 years. She has worked for LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) for over 25 years supporting students from all backgrounds and currently supports many of their DHH students.

Prior to becoming the CSHA SLPA Director, Tamisha has served as the CSHA SLPA Representative, District 6 Advisory Committee Member, and Diversity and Inclusion Committee Member. She is also an active member of the NBASLH (National Black Association for Speech Language and Hearing) Los Angeles Chapter.

Tamisha provides therapist and family support through her social media account, @naturally_speeching. She is passionate about fostering inclusive practices, empowering clinicians, and creating opportunities for growth that positively impact the communities we support.

Nicole Rieger, M.S., CCC-SLP is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with a passion for early intervention and family-centered care. She serves as the Clinic Director and Early Intervention Supervisor at The Swain Center, where she leads innovative therapy programs, oversees clinical teams and student interns, and supports evidence-based practices that enhance communication outcomes. While Nicole oversees a variety of early intervention services, she is equally passionate about adult-based cognitive communication care. Before becoming District 1 Director, she served on the District 1 Advisory Committee, contributing to professional collaboration and advocacy within the community. Her commitment to leadership and clinical excellence was recognized in 2024, when she received ASHA’s Early Career Professional Award.

Katie Jackson is a Supervising Speech Language Pathologist & Behavior Analyst with Communication Across Barriers Speech Clinics. She has nearly 15 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a specialty focus on the pediatric population and those with complex communication needs. Katie received her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology at San Diego State University in 2011, and became dually certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2016. Katie has presented at both state level speech language pathology conventions as well as providing local workshops and trainings on an array of topics including AAC (augmentative-alternative communication), Functional Communication Training, and collaborative practices within speech language pathology and behavior analysis. She has travelled to Bosnia, Guatemala, Peru, and Ecuador to assist in treatment and staff training for those who support children with different needs and looks forward to continuing to serve populations both here and abroad in the future.

My name is Chimezie Chidi, and I am honored to serve as your District 3 Director for the 2025–2027 term. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 20 years and have practiced in a variety of settings, including public schools, charter schools, skilled nursing facilities, and private practice.

My leadership style is rooted in collaboration and open communication. I value teamwork and believe that when we work together and share ideas, we create meaningful progress and stronger connections within our professional community.

I am originally from Berkeley, California, born to immigrant Nigerian parents who instilled in me the values of advocacy, justice, giving back, mentorship, and community. These values have guided me personally and professionally throughout my life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children, volunteering, reading, dancing, learning pickleball, and playing tennis.

My goals for our District 3 include:

Increasing engagement and networking opportunities for District 3 members.

Hosting social and continuing education events within our district.

Ensuring members are informed and supported with up-to-date association information.

I look forward to connecting with each of you and working together to strengthen our profession and our CSHA community.

Christina is a speech language pathologist at Clarity Speech Therapy in Mountain View. She works primarily with speech and swallowing disorders secondary to orofacial pain, sleep apnea, and orthodontic differences. She presents locally and nationally on the same. Christina has a passion for peer coaching, helping SLPs across North America set up solo private practices with a healthy work life balance and focus evidence based practices. Christina received her Masters degree from the University of Alberta in Canada, and her clinical doctorate from Northwestern University.

Katherine “Katie” Taylor, M.A., CCC-SLP, serves as the District 5 Director for the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). She previously served four years on the District 5 Advisory and Honors Recognition Committee and is honored to continue supporting her professional community.

Katie is an acute care speech-language pathologist in Fresno, CA, and a proud alumna of Fresno State University. She primarily works with adult and geriatric populations, assessing and treating dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, motor speech disorders, and aphasia. Her caseload includes patients with tracheostomies, stroke, dementia, neurodegenerative diseases, and those in critical care or post-cardiac surgery.

She is a clinical educator and mentor to graduate students and is currently pursuing her FEES certification and Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S).
In addition to her District 5 leadership, Katie serves as Co-Lead for the Community Subcommittee of the CSHA Medical SLP Committee, where she is passionate about fostering professional engagement and collaboration.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Lulu or traveling to the beach. A loyal Fresno State Bulldog, she can often be found cheering on her alma mater. She also serves on the Welcome Team and Medical Support Team at her local church and volunteers with California 4-H.

Michelle Foxx Meloche is a Speech Language Pathologist and Feeding & Swallowing Interventionist who is passionate about providing Hope to children and their families, and to those who are young at heart. With extensive experience treating a variety of impairments, she tailors intervention for each person’s needs, incorporating the family/caregivers into the therapeutic process and creates effective, personalized treatment plans utilizing proven methods and creating novel ones. Using a whole-body approach, she has develops methods of intervention incorporating techniques learned from various professionals and her vast experiences. In addition to other certifications, Michelle is also a ™VitalStim provider.

Michelle is driven by life-long experience caring for two brothers with Developmental Impairments who are her heart and soul. She has served the Orange County population in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, residential facilities, and preschools providing both home-based and in-center care. She values caring for the family unit and incorporating siblings in the therapeutic process. She also enjoys being an adjunct instructor and runs a mentoring group especially for SLPAs and new SLPs. Michelle has been involved with CSHA most of her career participating in a variety of committees and advocacy.

Michelle believes in the never-ending potential of children, the wisdom of the young at heart, and that we never stop learning! It has been rumored that she works with children so she can play with awesome toys, is often referred to as the ‘Child-Whisperer’, and is known for her killer coffee.

Maxine Van Doren, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is a voice-specialized speech-language pathologist. She has worked in outpatient clinical settings and private practice treating voice and upper airway disorders. She lives in San Diego and is on faculty at California State University, San Bernardino where her research is focused on the relationship between dysphonia and linguistic structure. Maxine is passionate about increasing awareness of the field and improving information access for prospective students interested in speech-language pathology. In her spare time, she runs www.CSDPostBacc.com to disseminate information preparing for master’s programs in speech-language pathology.

I have over 18 years of experience in the field, having worked as both a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and Speech-Language Pathologist in school-based settings and private practice. In addition, I have worked with a non-profit organization supporting adults with brain injuries and their families, which strengthened my commitment to advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community education. Currently, I am working with high school students in a diverse school district and has worked with individuals of all ages and varying communication challenges, tailoring interventions to meet each student’s unique needs.
I have been involved in the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA) as a member of the District 10 Advisory Board (2010-2020) and 2025-present and served on the Nominating Committee (2014-2016) and contributed as the Audio-Visual Co-Chair for the CSHA Conventions (2013 & 2014).
