As an SLP for almost 28 years, I understand the importance of grassroots advocacy and making changes that can positively affect your patients, clients, and/or students’ lives through best practice SLP care. Having been a member of the advocacy committee as a STaMP, STaR, and FEES taskforce member, I understand that SLPs are the perfect people to help lawmakers understand our issues as well as solutions.
