Maret Wilson

Director, District 1 (2021-23)

Maret Wilson Walker, M.A. CCC-SLP, is a director of school-based services at SPG Therapy & Education. In this role, she coordinates school-based multidisciplinary special education staffing to meet the needs of students, clinicians and LEA partners. She also provides clinical support, professional development and resources to enable top quality service to students and ongoing professional growth for clinicians. Maret started SPG’s special interest group on cultural and linguistic diversity, and facilitates ongoing training, resources and discussion to foster appropriate and culturally sensitive service for all students. Maret is an advocate for use of alternative assessment methods in order to honor cultural and linguistic differences and appropriately identify students in need of speech-language services.
