Amanda Fazakerly, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned her master’s degree at Columbia University, Teachers College and bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Davis. She is a senior speech pathologist at UC Davis Health in Sacramento. Concurrently, Amanda is a dean’s scholarship recipient in the master of business administration – healthcare management program at the Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School. Her clinical interests include the relationship between respiration and swallowing, the impact of oxygen therapies on swallow mechanics, and iatrogenic dysphagia. She enjoys leading quality improvement projects and mentoring students. Amanda serves on the executive board MSCC (Medical Speech Council of California) and is an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Chico.
