10 Meets Congressman Joe Baca, Sr.
Diane
Collins and Judith Porter attended a Birthday Bash for US
Congressman Joe Baca, Sr. They
also met with California State Assemblyman Joe Baca, Jr.,
State Attorney Bill Lockyer and State Insurance Commissioner
John Garamendi.
Meeting
a staff representative for Joe Baca Sr., who took pictures
for Diane and Judith and told them about his experiences
as a young stutterer, enhanced the delightful evening. Jesse
Valenzuela, Baca's staffer, asked to attend the District
10 stuttering workshop on April 30th at Upland High
School.
The
dinner table at the event was shared with the Hemet -San Jacinto
Democratic Club. One of the members at the table was
getting a new hearing aid. Diane and Judith were able
to share with him about his concerns for adjustment to the
new aid.
The
event was a wonderful night of sharing and meeting with State
Leaders and Congressmen.
